Tynan, a 45-year-old ordained deacon, was two days away from becoming an ordained priest in 6/2004 when he was placed on leave after the Diocese learned that he was being investigated by US Customs for possession of child pornography. His name had appeared on a child porn web site based in a foreign country. The reason he was not ordained for priesthood was not announced until 10/2004, when he was criminally charged. Included on the Diocese’s list. Laicized in 2006. Sentenced to three years in prison. Included on the OH sex offender registry.
