Fr. John Anthony Weber
First named publicly as accused on the New Orleans archdiocese’s list 11/2/2018. Allegation of abuse received in 2005 of abuse in the 1940s. Incardinated into the Baton Rouge diocese when it was formed in 1961. Retired in 1995. Died in 2000. On the Baton Rouge diocese’s list in early 2019. It notes an allegation received in 3/1996 of abuse in 1956, while assigned to Assumption of the BVM in Plattenville. A lawsuit filed in 3/2022 claims of abuse of a boy 1975-1976, beginning when the boy was age 13, at St. Charles Borromeo in Baton Rouge.
