Fr. John W. Wishard
Pleaded no contest in 1980 to charge of oral copulation of a child. Sentenced to 5 years probation. Probation was terminated in 1982. Wishard returned to active ministry in 1987. The felony was reduced to a misdemeanor in 1991 and later dismissed. Served as a police chaplain. Retired in 1997 or 1998. Dismissed in 2002. Reportedly laicized in 8/02. Included in 2004 L.A. archdiocesan report. The archdiocese’s list updated in 12/21 shows Wishard to be deceased.
