ON THE SITE IN 2005
In 2005 BishopAccountability.org will
post essential information on the Catholic sexual abuse crisis in the
United States—tens of thousands of diocesan documents, news articles,
and reports by the bishops and independent commissions. We invite you
to visit
our home page and subscribe to receive email updates on new documents
and other features. Include this page in your favorites, and you are a
click away from our constantly updated resource on the crisis and challenges
facing Catholicism today. Visit this page frequently to stay current on
late-breaking developments and our "unique and unsurpassed"
archive.
Our Web site consolidates information made public through the efforts
of survivors, advocates, scholars, and reporters. Many thousands of pages
from an archive
gathered by attorney Sylvia Demarest will be posted in 2005.
MARCH 3, 2005 –
We have posted the names of all publicly accused priests who worked in
the diocese of Manchester NH, with links to the thousands of pages of
diocesan and investigative files released by the NH attorney general,
on-line only here. The attorney general's own report –
the finest yet produced in any independent investigation of the crisis
– is also included, along with dozens of news articles. This feature
offers the closest thing we have to a complete record of the crisis in
a single diocese.
