Newest Priests Are Assigned

Announcement Made Today at Office of Archbishop R. A. Gerken

Assignment of priests recently ordained was announced today at Archbishop R. A. Gerken's office.

The Rev. Father Bernard Burns will be in the chancery office and also be chaplain of St. Michael's college, succeeding the Rev. Father Clarence Schoeppner in the latter capacity, and the Rev. Father Francis McCarthy has been sent to toe Lourdes school, near Albuquerque, to become a member of the faculty.

The Rev. Father Thomas Lynch has been assigned to the Sacred Heart Parish in Albuquerque, the Rev. Father Anthony Vorst to Mora, the Rev. Father Francis Gleason to Socorro and the Rev. Father Patrick Smith to Santa Rosa.

Father Schoeppner, formally chaplain at St. Michael's has been appointed chaplain of St. Catherine's Indian school. He will continue also his duties as assistant chancellor of the Archdiocese.
