  Priest Accused of Sodomy

Associated Press
June 8, 1986

A priest has been freed on bail after he was arrested and charged with sodomy, sexual abuse and unlawful dealings with a child, authorities said.

The Rev. Gerald Jasinski, 44, of St. Mary's Hill Rectory, Lancaster, pleaded innocent to the charges at his arraignment Saturday.

Deputies arrested him Saturday after an investigation into complaints from two people who said they were assaulted at a cabin in Sheldon, the Wyoming County Sheriff's Department said.

Jasinski was released on $2,000 bond pending a court appearance next week.

Priests at the rectory did not return messages left on an answering machine.
