St. Adrian's Rev. John Jordan

Rev. John E. Jordan, 77, pastor emeritus of St. Adrian's Catholic Church on the Southwest Side, was a priest in Chicago for more than 50 years. During World War II, he was a chaplain in the Army Air Corps. Mass for Father Jordan, who lived at the parish, will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Adrian's Church, 7000 S. Fairfield Ave. He died Monday in Michael Reese Hospital.

Father Jordan, a Chicago native, was ordained April 27, 1935. He assisted in St. Agnes and St. Brendan parishes before enlisting in the Army Air Force in 1943. He was a captain and was stationed in San Antonio, Tex. In addition to his brother, Father Jordan is survived by a sister, Kathryn Farrell.
