Patricio Batuyong, a Roman Catholic deacon of the Archdiocese of Chicago, was being held Thursday in Georgia on $ 1 million bond after waiving extradition to Cook County to face charges of sexual assault of a minor. Batuyong, 49, is charged with attacking a 15-year-old relative while serving at St. Ansgar Parish in Hanover Park two years ago, said a spokesman for the Cook County state's attorney. He was arrested Tuesday in Fayetteville, Ga., and charged with one count of criminal sexual assault, seven counts of aggravated sexual abuse and one count of solicitation for juvenile prostitution, the spokesman said.
