Admitted pedophile priest returned to jail

A DeKalb judge sent admitted pedophile Anton Mowat back to prison for the next four years Friday, saying the former parish priest showed no remorse and apparently never intended to comply with the terms of his probation after he was deported. In 1990, Mowat pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six years in prison and nine years probation for molesting four altar boys at Corpus Christ Catholic Church in Stone Mountain. After serving about two years in prison, Mowat was deported to his native England. In Europe, Mowat, by his own admission, had contact with children ---which, according to testimony Friday, was a violation of his probation. Testimony also showed he failed to get treatment for pedophilia and did not keep in touch with his probation officer.
