  Rev. Thomas F. Motherway, Former Associate Pastor at Randolph Church, at 60

YARMOUTH - A funeral Mass for the Rev. Thomas F. Motherway will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, 270 Elliot St., Newton Upper Falls. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham.

The Rev. Motherway, 60, of West Yarmouth, former associate pastor at St. Bernadette's Church in Randolph, died Monday at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.

He was associate pastor at St. Margaret's Parish in Dorchester from 1983 until he was involved in an automobile accident in 1985. In October of 1998, he went on permanent disability and had been a resident of West Yarmouth since 1971.

The Rev. Motherway was an assistant at St. Ambrose Parish in Dorchester from 1969 to 1973; and an associate pastor at St. Ann's Church in Peabody and St. Mary's Church in Lynn. He was temporary associate pastor at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Monponsett.

He was born and grew up in Newton and was a 1960 graduate of St. Sebastian's Country Day School. He was a 1964 graduate of Boston College where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration. He then entered St. John's Seminary in Brighton, graduating in 1969. He was ordained at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston on May 21, 1969.

He is survived by many cousins and his valets, Peter and Shawntay DeBarros of Marstons Mills.

Visiting is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the McHoul Funeral Home, 354 Adams St., Dorchester.
