	Rev. Vance Z. Philadelphia Inquirer December 3, 2004 THORNE. REV. VANCE Z., Nov. 30, 2004, of the Divine Word Community, Bordentown, N.J. Age 83 years. Born in Bath, NC, he began studies for the religious life at St. Augustine's Seminary and was ordained as a priest June 24, 1953. Surviving are his brother George T. (Marian) Thorne, Durham, NC, half sisters, Rosa Hart, NYC, Blanche Hart, Bronx, NY, Mary Gibbs, Washington, NC and several nieces, nephews, friends and associates. One of his nephews is the Rev. Stephen Thorne of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 A.M. in St. Mary R. C. Church, 45 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown. Burial in St. Mary Cem. Viewing Friday after 7 P.M. at Divine Word Residence, 101 Park St., Bordentown and Saturday from 10 to 11 A.M. at St. Mary Church. Memorials may be made to Divine Word Missionaries.
