Richard N. Ohlemacher, OSC., passed away on July 29, 2005 On July 29, 2005, Richard N. Ohlemacher, OSC, was called by the Lord to Himself. He spent the last two years plus at the Beatitudes Campus of Care in Phoenix, AZ. Richard was born on March 10, 1922, the son of Norman K. and Elsie (Roberts) Ohlemacher. Richard professed vows as a religious in the Crosier Order on August 28, 1950 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1955. Richard taught at Our Lady of the Lake Seminary, Wawasee, Indiana for 16 years, and at Crosier Seminary in Onamia, Minnesota for three years. He served in parishes in Michigan and Indiana before coming to Arizona in 1987 to serve as associate pastor at St. Louis the King Parish. Upon his retirement he helped the parishes of St. Theresa and St. Joseph with weekday and Sunday masses. Richard is survived by his brothers Donald, Robert and Paul Ohlemacher, all of Sandusky, Ohio, several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and his Crosier brothers. A Wake Service will be held on Wednesday evening August 3, 2005, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ at 7:00 PM. The Funeral service will be held in Phoenix at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2312 East Campbell Ave., on Thursday, August 4th, beginning with the Office of the Dead at 10:30 AM and Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Sandusky, Ohio.
