KENOSHA - Fr. John T. Knotek, 93, passed away Friday, January 6, 2006, at All Saints Healthcare - St. Mary's Campus. Born September 13, 1912, in Vlcnov, Czechoslovakia, he was the son of the late Cyril and Josephine (nee: Mostek) Knotek. On June 11, 1938, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Milwaukee, he was ordained into the priesthood by The Most Rev. Samuel A. Stritch for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. He was assigned to the St. Joseph's Home for the Aged as a Chaplain in 1972 until his retirement in 1988. Survivors include his sisters, Mary Konicek, Ann Oertel, both of Racine, Sr. Rose Knotek SSSF, Sr. Julie Knotek SSSF, both of Milwaukee, Sr. Helen Knotek SSSF of Campbellsport, and Georgia (Thomas) Theys of Franksville; and his brothers, Frank (Audrey) Knotek, Charles (Marcy) Knotek, and Jerry (Rita) Knotek, all of Racine. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fr. Wence Knotek MM and Albert Knotek; and his sister, Josephine Knotek. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial with The Most Rev. Timothy M. Dolan, Archbishop of Milwaukee presiding will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 2223 - 51st Street, Kenosha, on Monday, January 9, 2006, at 5 p.m. Interment will be held privately in the Priests Circle at St. James Cemetery. A visitation will held at the church on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of the Mass.
