THOMSON, Rev. J. Garret "Gary" 55, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late George and Edna (Sexton) Thomson and graduated from Bentley College in Waltham before entering St. John's Seminary, Brighton. He was ordained to the Holy Order of the Priesthood, June 30, 1981 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross by the late Humberto Cardinal Medeiros. He served as Associate Pastor of St. Mary's Parish, Randolph, Chaplain of the U.S. Air Force Reserves, Parochial Vicar of St. Bridget's Parish, Maynard, Immaculate Conception Parish, Marlborough and St. Joseph's Parish, Medway. Following his assignment as Asst. Chaplain of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Brighton, he returned to parish assignments serving as Parochial Vicar and Pastor of St. Mary Magdalen Parish, Tyngsborough and was presently serving as Pastor of St. Martha's Parish, Plainville. He is survived by his close personal friends the Sweeney family of Maynard and the Almond family of Waltham and several aunts, uncles, and cousins in Canada. Fr. Gary's Funeral will be held Monday in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough with a concelebrated Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Marlborough. Visiting hours at the William R.
