Ozark, MO-Jerry Joseph Wegenek, 73, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011, at his home.

Jerry was born on July 14, 1937, in St. Joseph, MO to Sylvester and Margie (Brady) Wegenek. For over thirty years of his life, Jerry was a faith-filled servant for the Catholic Church. A man of compassion and love for all of God's people

Survivors include cousins Carol and Roger Marriott, Susie and J. (Joseph) Waugh, all of St. Joseph, MO and Charlene and Wilbur Wagner of McClouth, KS; and foster son Sam Quarles of Kansas City, KS. He also leaves behind many other cousins and friends.

Memorial Mass 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
