McCormack to Meet with Victims Downloaded January 10, 2003 MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Bishop John B. McCormack has scheduled a meeting with a group of men who say he knew a Massachusetts priest was molesting them. Several of the men traveled to New Hampshire last month to demand a meeting with McCormack, who they claim did nothing to prevent the Rev. Joseph Birmingham from assaulting them. A spokesman for the group says the meeting is set for Jan. 28 in Salem, Mass., where McCormack and Birmingham served together. McCormack has said he had no suspicions at the time that Birmingham, who died in 1989, was molesting children |
