	Ex-Priest in Sex Rap By Arlie Calalo Manila Standard Today September 8, 2005 A former Roman Catholic priest landed in jail yesterday after his secretary accused him of attempting to rape her inside his home-office in Caloocan City. The alleged attempted rape happened around 10 p.m. on Sept. 5 inside the suspect's home which he also used as his office for his recruitment agency, police said. Police arrested Richard Tabila, 38, owner of Yaweh Manpower Agency, yesterday morning after his secretary Marvy Florendo, 31, complained that he tried to rape her in his home-office at Paz Street in Morning Breeze subdivision. Florendo said she agreed to have some beer with Tabila on the evening of Sept. 5 but after several bottles of beer, Tabila allegedly burned her lips with a cigarette and hit her with a plastic bottle of water for no apparent reason. Tabila then forcibly tried to embrace and kiss her and shoved a cellphone and television remote control in her crotch. Florendo was able to run away and immediately reported the incident to the nearest police precinct. At the detention, the suspect refused to answer queries by reporters who tried to get information about him. Investigators said the suspect was former parish priest in Quezon City but they had no other details.
