Lexington Priest Removed After Allegations of Misconduct

LEXINGTON, Ky. A Catholic priest in Lexington has been taken off active ministry because of allegations of sexual misconduct.

The Chicago Province of the Society of Jesuits has relieved 65-year-old Reverend Bill Spine.He was the associate director of the Lexington diocese's Hispanic ministry office. A former male student of Spine's came forward to say he was abused several decades ago in Peru.The Jesuit Province launched its own investigation before deciding to remove Spine last week.
