The former associate pastor of a Delaware County church has been arrested on sexual abuse charges, some of which date back three decades, authorities said.

Gerald Klever, 75, was arrested Wednesday at his new home in Tucson on charges from Springfield Township.

Klever appeared in court in Tucson on Wednesday.

He was charged with sexual assault and other related offenses involving four women in Springfield Township.

A total of 12 local women have now accused Klever of assault when they were children, according to officials at the First Presbyterian Church of Springfield Township, where the assaults allegedly happened in the 1970s and '80s while Klever was the assistant pastor.
