Chantilly, Va. — Fifty-four year old Christopher Buckner was placed on administrative leave for allegedly having inappropriate relations with a former parishioner from 1992 to 1994.

At the time, Fr. Buckner was a pastor at St. Mary's church in Fredericksburg. He has been with the Catholic Diocese of Arlington for nearly 30 years.

After leaving St. Mary's church in 2000, he started the first online University for Catholic studies. He was living at the rectory of St. Veronica's church in Chantilly where he also took on the role of religious mentor to hundreds of families.

Fr. Buckner denies any wrongdoing. The Diocese placed Fr. Buckner on leave after conducting their own internal inquiry, the case was then sent to police for further investigation.
