	Arlington Diocese Priest Placed on Leave Richmond Times-Dispatch May 8, 2007 http://www.timesdispatch.com/cva/ric/news.apx.-content-articles-RTD-2007-05-08-0184.html Fredericksburg — A Catholic priest who formerly served in Fredericksburg has been placed on leave pending an investigation into alleged inappropriate conduct with a minor in the early 1990s. The Rev. Christopher Buckner, 54, served as pastor at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fredericksburg from 1992 to 2000. The alleged conduct occurred between 1992 and 1994, according to the Diocese of Arlington. Buckner has denied wrongdoing, the diocese said. The diocese said it met with the alleged victim, offered assistance and reported the allegations to authorities. Buckner served as a faculty member with Catholic Distance University since 2000 and during that time has assisted at St. Veronica Church in Chantilly, according to the diocese. The investigation is continuing.
