	Bonita Man Faces Lawsuit for Alleged Molestation News-Press February 12, 2008 http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080212/NEWS01/80212042/1075 A Bonita Springs man who is a former Catholic deacon is being sued for allegedly sexually molesting a teen more than 30 years ago. Tom Ferguson filed the lawsuit in Lee County circuit court Monday, alleging that Glen Shrimplin, 74, a former dentist living in Bonita Springs, molested him on a trip to Florida in 1975 and 1976. Ferguson spoke to reporters today in downtown Fort Myers, accompanied by supporters from SNAP — Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. Ferguson alleges in the lawsuit — in which he is seeking more than $15,000 — that Shrimplin, a deacon at Immaculate Conception Church in Toledo, Ohio, took him to Fort Lauderdale for a trip when Ferguson was a teen and molested him. In 2003, Shrimplin told The News-Press he denied allegations from a similar lawsuit, in which he was accused of sexually abusing two boys when he was a deacon at the church. Efforts to reach Shrimplin today have been unsuccessful.
