A former priest who was accused with molesting a boy in a Rochester church has quit his job at a school in Hong Kong after details of the charges emerged.

According to the Straits Times, a newspaper based in Singapore, Dennis Sewar was at a school in China designing curriculum and telling stories at the school library. A parent looking up Sewar's qualifications found the accusations, and alerted the school.

The article in the StraitsTimes details the accusations, but never mentions Sewar by name.

Sewar was accused of molesting a 14-year-old boy inside the rectory of the Church of the Annunciation in Rochester. The alleged victim came forward when he was 20. Charges of forcible touching against Sewar were dropped. He later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
