Former US Catholic Church pastor Dennis Sewar came to Hong Kong to start a new life after a child sex scandal in which he pleaded guilty to a non-sexual charge in return for the dropping of a more serious offence. He argues that he did nothing wrong and that the climate in his country involving priests and sexual abuse is biased. No matter whether he is right or wrong, parents at the local schools that gave him work have a right to be concerned. As long as there are doubts about a person's background, they should not be employed in places where those in their charge could be put at risk....
