Woman Said Priest Assaulted Her, Others 30 Years Ago

BOSTON -- A Plymouth priest who was being investigated by the Archdiocese of Boston for sexual abuse charges, has died.

The Rev. Kenneth LeBlanc, 61, had been battling cancer and died Wednesday at a nursing home in Needham, the Patriot Ledger reported.

In 2009, LeBlanc was placed on leave after a woman accused the priest of sexually assaulting her and other young girls in his car, in his home and in secluded areas in Wakefield 30 years ago when he was assigned to Most Blessed Sacrament Church in that town.

LeBlanc had been the pastor at St. Peter’s Church in Plymouth since 2005 when he was placed on leave.
