A third lawsuit in North Dakota accusing a former teacher at Fargo’s Shanley High School of sex abuse was filed in Cass County District Court on Tuesday.

The lawsuit claims that Brother Raimond Rose, on a school-sponsored overnight trip to Bismarck in 1978 or 1979, groped Paul Mehl while he was sleeping. Mehl, 48, of Fargo, was 17 years old or 16 years old at the time, according to the civil complaint.

Rose, who was a Shanley religion teacher from 1976 to 1980, is listed as a defendant along with Shanley High School, the Catholic Diocese of Fargo, Bishop Samuel Aquila and the order to which Rose was a member, The Christian Brothers of the Midwest.
