	German Priest Removed from Ministry in Dc Following Allegation Catholic Culture April 21, 2010 http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=6093 A German priest who has ministered in the Archdiocese of Washington since 2004 has been removed from ministry after allegations of sexual abuse of teenage girls came to light. Father Michael Schapfel, who is associated with the Schoenstatt Movement, allegedly abused the young women in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The movement, which became aware of alleged abuse as early as 2004, recently reported the allegations to the Diocese of Mainz.
