ALIQUIPPA, Pa.—A judge has tossed out some sex abuse charges against a western Pennsylvania pastor but ordered him to stand trial on others.
Beaver County Judge Edward Howe on Tuesday dismissed charges of sexual assault and aggravated assault against 38-year-old Rev. Laneer Fisher of Moon Township.
But Howe ordered him to stand trial on counts of indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of a minor in alleged incidents involving two teenagers.
Fisher is pastor of the Miracle Church of God in Christ in Aliquippa. Defense attorney Dirk Goodwald said his client has the support of the church as well as his family and friends and is "continuing to minister."
