TIRUCHI: A case of rape was registered against the principal of the St Joseph's College here on Tuesday following a complaint from a nun.

According to sources, the 31-year-old nun approached cops on Tuesday, charging the principal, Fr R Rajarathinam, with raping her first in 2006. She claimed she didn't reveal it then as he threatened her with dire consequences. She was again raped in 2008, she alleged in her complaint, adding that she approached the police because he "continued to abuse her sexually".

Police have registered a case against Rajarathinam, but are yet to arrest him.
