After years of service to a local church a Rockford man is arrested on 21 counts of abuse against children. Terry Carlson has been a trustee, advisor, Sunday school teacher and bus driver at Kishwaukee Baptist Church for several years. But now, he's accused of sexually assaulting two local teens he knew from the church.

The 54-year-old is being held at the Winnebago County jail on 14 counts of aggravated sexual abuse, 6 counts of indecent solicitation of a child, and 1 count of criminal sexual assault. Police say the victims are now 17 and 15 and just stepped forward after being abused for the past year. The teens are members of the church and know Carlson from his work there.

Because of the nature of these alleged crimes and the timeframe, police are concerned that other victims may be at large. Church members were unavailable for comment today. Anyone with additional information is asked to call local authorities.
