They want people to forgo donating to OSF and instead, give to other charities that help children. This, at least until they help a woman who says she was sexually abused at the hospital for three months.

Leona Deemie says she was molested numerous times by a St. Francis chaplain, George Cody.

At the time she was just a child, undergoing treatment for polio.

She states when it happened, she asked staff for help but received none.

Instead she said, they told her not to say another word.

Fifty-five years later, she's speaking up and is asking the hospital for help.

First, she wants to meet with hospital staff and have them listen to her story. She wants to be shown policies and procedures on how the hospital empowers employees to report abuse.

She also wants the staff to pray for her and other survivors as well as start a public outreach program for any other children that were abused like her.

Last, she want them to help her financial. She is asking for a donation or settlement of $54,000 to $100,000.

OSF was not able to speak with us on camera but tell us since the case was dismissed by the courts, there is nothing else to discuss.
