People who say they have been victimized by clergy will protest outside an Orlando church on Sunday to draw attention to their concerns about a former Orlando priest.

Three to four members of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests will be outside St. James Cathedral on North Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando about 11:15 a.m.

The group says retired Orlando Bishop Norbert Dorsey allowed the Rev. Jose L. Mena to to say Masses in Jacksonville although Mena had already been accused of molesting children as early as 1994. In 2002, the group alleges, the church failed to take action against Mena.

SNAP members say they want members of the Diocese of Orlando to urge church officials to reach out more aggressively to child-sex-abuse victims, encourage anyone who knew about or saw Mena’s crimes to contact police and to chastise Dorsey.
