KENOSHA - The pastor of St. Theresa of Lisieux Parish in Kenosha was placed on administrative leave after allegedly making sexually explicit comments to a girl, the Milwaukee Archdiocese said Sunday.

Archbishop Jerome Listecki said in a letter to parishioners that there is no alleged sexual contact between Fr. Michael Nowak and the girl, but that he was placing Nowak on leave pending the results of an investigation.

The girl's parents contacted the Kenosha Police Department after the alleged incident, and officers are now investigating.

Fr. Dominic Thomas has been assigned as St. Theresa's temporary administrator.
