Rev. Police say Kurtz and the boy, who was under the age of 18 at the time, knew each other and were in Douglas County when the alleged assault took place but cannot say how they knew one another, where the boy is from, or what they were doing in Colorado since the case is sealed.

Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Ron Hanavan told the Associated Press that Kurtz's order, the Society of Jesus Chicago-Detroit Province, notified the department in June about the alleged assault, and an arrest warrant was issued on Nov. 18.
