NEW YORK — The former assistant principal of a Bronx high school is in a treatment program after admitting that he viewed child pornography on a library computer.

Brother Lawrence Gordon took a plea deal to avoid jail time. He's been fired by the Mount St. Michael Academy, an all-boys school.

According to the Daily News (http://nydn.us/sVXkRt ), Gordon accidentally left a USB drive in the school computer last Valentine's day. It held sexually explicit images of underage boys.

His attorney, Thomas Curran, says Gordon is remorseful.

The school said in a letter to parents that there was no sexual contact with students.
