A former city man is suing the Archdiocese of Hartford, claiming that a priest sexually abused him 37 years ago when he was a boy being treated in Saint Mary's Hospital.

A 47-year-old man using the name "Patrick Doe" filed the suit this month in Waterbury Superior Court, naming the hospital and the archdiocese as defendants.

Doe claims in the suit that he had been admitted to the hospital in about 1975 when he was abused by Raymond F. Paul, a priest assigned as a chaplain there.
