A deacon at a Valley Catholic church is facing accusations of sexual abuse of a minor.

Ron Gonzales, 62, served at St. Thomas More Church in Glendale. He stands accused of sexual abuse of a minor. The accusations stem from incidents in Texas and Pennsylvania, 15 to 20 years ago.

The Diocese of Phoenix has relieved Gonzales of his duties at St. Thomas More parish. Gonzales has been at that church since 2003. There have been no accusations against him at that parish.
