ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Diocese of Winona is facing a lawsuit after a former altar boy has come forward accusing a priest of abuse.

St. Paul attorney Jeff Anderson is filing the lawsuit on behalf of 61-year-old Bill Beardmore.

Beardmore now lives in Iowa, but attended church at St. John's Parish in Caledonia, and was 12-years-old when Father Thomas Adamson allegedly raped him.

The lawsuit is seeking the disclosure of 13 priests from the Diocese of Winona who have credible complaints of sexual abuse made against them.

Beardmore has specifically mentioned Father Adamson, who the suit says was moved between 15 locations in the state over a 20-year period, even after admitting abuse to Diocese officials.
