Thousands of pages of records were released on Tuesday, January 21st — detailing years of sexual abuse by priests in the Archdiocese of Chicago — and four of the priests named in the documents have Wisconsin ties.

Six thousand pages of documents were released on Tuesday naming 30 priests — four with Wisconsin ties.

Norbert Mayday was convicted of child sex abuse in 1994 and defrocked.

Records show some of the abuse happened in 1986 “on an overnight trip at a youth retreat center run by a priest friend of his in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.”

“They would take children to Wisconsin, sexually assault them here, cabins, they would have homes here, and then they would go back to Illinois,” Peter Isley with SNAP — the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests told FOX6 News.

Documents show Vincent McCaffrey was also accused of abusing a minor in Wisconsin cottages between 1977 and 1987.

In a transcript, his nephew testified that he brought youth to his cottages and “would have them sleep in a queen-sized bed with him.”

A memo from a phone call shows the late Donald Ulatowski “would take boys up to his Wisconsin cottage — his boys — two or three guys, and no other adults would go.”

Ulatowski was later restricted in his ministry and ordered not to be alone with children.

“When you look at offenders, they are going to move around to where they can get access to children, where they can remove the children from their homes,” Isley said.

Raymond Skirba, who allegedly molested several minors eventually moved to Twin Lakes, where he lived as recently as 2005.

“Time and time again, each of the Cardinals and officials made conscious choices to keep that knowledge a secret within the circle of the Cardinal or the officials or the bishops and only there,” Lawyer for the victims, Jeffrey Anderson said during a press conference in Chicago on Tuesday.

SNAP says there are more Chicago priests who came to Wisconsin to victimize youth, but those documents haven’t yet been released.

The records released Tuesday were released by the same law firm that represents hundreds of sex abuse victims from Milwaukee.

Thousands of similar documents regarding the Archdiocese of Milwaukee were released last year.
