SANTA FE, N.M. — Santa Fe prosecutors have filed new sex charges against a Catholic priest just three months after similar charges were dismissed. Dennis Fountain faces three counts of sexual contact with a minor in 1985 and 1986 while he was a boys' dorm supervisor at St. Catherine's Indian School. Fountain, 49, who was relieved of his priest duties in January, is currently working at a mission school in Fort Defiance, Ariz. A district judge will determine if there is enough evidence for a trial.

In March, a Santa Fe grand jury indicted Fountain on nearly 170 counts of sexual contact with three boys. However, a district judge dismissed the charges because he said the district attorney mishandled the grand jury deliberations.
