A 43-year-old Roman Catholic priest was arrested in Queens yesterday and charged with sexually abusing three young boys who attended his former church, police said.

Enrique Diaz Jiminez, of 44-14 Newtown Rd., in Forest Hills, Queens, was arrested at his home at 10:30 a.m., according to Sgt. Tina Mohrmann, a spokeswoman for the Police Department.

Jiminez was charged with first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse, Mohrmann said. He was being held in Central Booking late yesterday awaiting arraignment, she said.

Jiminez allegedly molested the three boys, whose names were withheld by police because of their ages, between November, 1986, and February, 1989.

The boys were ages 9, 11, and 14, when Jiminez allegedly forced them to perform oral sex, Mohrmann said.

Mohrmann said that Jiminez was the parish priest for St. Leo Roman Catholic Church, in Corona, Queens, from October, 1983, to November, 1986. She said that Jiminez was not assigned to a church in the United States at the time of his arrest.
