  Priest Charges

Wisconsin State Journal (Madison, WI)
July 7, 1992

Child enticement charges were dismissed Monday against a former Colby priest accused of daring two young boys to expose themselves.

Jackson County Circuit Judge Robert Radcliff agreed to dismiss the two felony charges against the Rev. Bruce Ball under certain conditions connected to another sex assault case.

In Clark County, Ball pleaded no contest to having sexual contact with a client. He was accused of fondling a teen-age boy he was counseling in 1991.

Radcliff said the Jackson County charges would be dropped as long as Ball doesn't try to disrupt his sentencing in Clark County by filing motions. Ball faces five years in prison and a $ 10,000 fine.

Prosecutors had said Ball dared two boys - ages 11 and 12 - to walk down a Jackson County railroad track with their pants pulled down.
