	O'Brien, Brother Lawrence, CSC Times Union August 6, 2000 VALATIE — Brother Lawrence O'Brien, CSC, 73, died at St. Peter's Medical Center, Albany, NY on August 3, 2000. He was a member of the Congregation of Holy Cross and a former staff member at Pius XII School, Chester, NY. Brother O'Brien was born in Nestorville, Ontario, Canada, on September 6, 1926. He entered the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1955 and made is perpetual profession of vows in 1960. His primary work in the Congregation of Holy Cross was at homes for troubled youths conducted by the Brothers of Holy Cross. In addition to Pius XII School where he worked for 16 years, he also worked at Boysville, Clinton, MI and Rancho San Antonio, Chatsworth, CA. Brother O'Brien retired in 1991 and was residing at St. Joseph Center, Valatie, NY at the time of his death. A Mass of Christian Burial and interment will take place on Monday, August 7, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Center, 495 Maple Lane, Valatie. Calling hours will be from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday at the center. Bond Funeral Home, Rt. 9, Valatie, NY.
