WORCESTER - Brother Robert-Francis Beaulac, 64, of Emmanuel House, a member of the Augustinians of the Assumption, died Friday, Nov. 17, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus after a brief illness.

He leaves a brother, Ernest J. Beaulac Jr. of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He was born and raised in Fitchburg, son of Ernest J. and Isola C. (Gagne) Beaulac, and professed his first vows with the Assumptionists on March 25, 1956 and his final vows on March 19, 1961. He attended St. Bernard's High School, Fitchburg, and received technical training at Quinsigamond Community College, University of Massachusetts Medical School, and St. Vincent Hospital.

Mr. Beaulac was a cook and maintenance director at the Assumptionist Novitiate in Saugerties, N.Y., and the Assumptionist High School Seminary in Cassadaga, N.Y., before coming to Assumption College in 1961. He held several positions there the past 39 years, including residence hall director, post office employee, infirmary worker, ambassador-at-large, and most recently director of student health services.

He received several awards to acknowledge his service, including the President's Medal.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 21, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, Assumption College, 500 Salisbury St. Burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery, Sturbridge. Calling hours are 2 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in the Salon of Maison Francaise, Assumption College, and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Assumptionist Vocation Fund, 330 Market St., Brighton, MA 02135. Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., is directing arrangements.
