QUITAQUE - The Rev. Edward R. Graff, 73, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, in Lubbock.

Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today in St. Laurence Cathedral of Amarillo. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the cathedral with Bishop Leroy T. Matthiesen, bishop emeritus, and Monsignor Harold Waldo as celebrants, and priests of the diocese as concelebrants. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery of Amarillo by Schooler Funeral Home of Amarillo, 4100 S. Georgia St.

The Rev. Graff was born Jan. 30, 1929, to William and Jane Graff in Philadelphia. He was ordained into the priesthood May 19, 1955, by Archbishop John O'Hara at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints' Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.

He retired from the Diocese of Allentown, Pa., in 1992. He moved to the Texas Panhandle where he served at Our Lady of Loretto in Silverton, St. Juan Diego Center of Quitaque and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Turkey. The Rev. Graff retired from the Diocese of Amarillo in July 2002.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

There are no known survivors.
