The Rev. Michael Sullivan

Boston - The Rev. Michael D. Sullivan, 88, of Boston, a former curate at St. John the Baptist Church in Quincy, died Saturday at St. Patrick's Manor, Framingham. The Rev. Sullivan served at the Quincy church from 1965 to 1971, when he was named pastor of St. Jude Church in Norfolk. He also had been assigned to St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater, St. Mary of the Angels Church in Roxbury and St. Andrew Church in Jamaica Plain. He was a senior priest in residence at Regina Cleri in Boston before his recent illness. Born in Boston, he was a 1938 graduate of Boston College and a graduate of St. John's Seminary in Boston. He was ordained in 1945. He is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. A rite of reception will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Regina Cleri, 60 Wm. Cardinal O'Connell Way, Boston, where he will lie in state until 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church, 68 Wm. Cardinal O'Connell Way, Boston. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Arrangements were made by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, Milton.
