Fr. Joseph Skelton, Jr. is a missionary priest of the Diocese of Tagbilaran in the Province of Bohol, Philippines.

But he was born in the “Motor City” or “Motown” Detroit, Michigan, USA.

Fr. Joseph began following the Lord as a young boy at the age of seven.

He started singing professionally at the age of thirteen with the Michigan Opera Company, and then he went on to sing in many different groups with a variety of musical genres. Gospel Music has been an integral part of Fr. Joseph’s spirituality, putting into practice the old saying: He who sings once, prays twice!

One of the highlights of his life was being “baptized in the Holy Spirit” through which his enthusiasm for the Lord had increased by leaps and bounds even until today.

Fr. Skelton is an advocate of worshiping the Lord through any means. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the central form of worship he promotes but also promotes the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, devotional prayers, and Charismatic revival prayer meetings as well.

Praise and Worship is a type of prayer that involves the whole senses. Through the songs of Praise and Worship gatherings, the people of God can have an experiential encounter with the Living God.

Fr. Joseph regularly travels across the Philippines leading Praise & Worship sessions so that God’s people will receive a flood of blessings from the Lord.
