As an assistant Father Mulvihill served in El Dorado, Pittsburg, and Blessed Sacrament Parish in Wichita. As pastor he served at Columbus with West Mineral as a mission, Cherryvale and Liberty, Chanute, and Galena and Baxter Springs. His last pastoral assignment was to Columbus and Scammon on September 2, 1993 until his retirement on May 19, 1996. During his priesthood he was DCCW moderator of the Pittsburg and Coffeyville Deaneries and in 1966 he was elected to the Retirement and Relief Board. Father Mulvihill died at the Catholic Care Center on December 16, 2006.
