Rev. Freddy Washington, CSSp, 
Pastor of St. Mark the Evangelist, Harlem, New York

A member of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (Spiritans), Father Freddy Washington, CSSp, is pastor of St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Harlem, New York. He is the former pastor of St. Mary Magdalene and St. Ambrose Parishes in Chicago.

Father Washington is an associate professor of Pastoral Theology at Xavier University in New Orleans and an adjunct Instructor of Pastoral Theology at Loyola-Marymount University in Los Angeles. He earned his Bachelors of Arts degree From Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, a Master of Divinity from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, a Master of Theology from Xavier University in New Orleans and a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH.

His many years of working in multicultural settings have offered him unique insight into the opportunities and challenges of discovering our true selves, drawing on all of our cultural gifts to become who we most authentically are.
