The Most Reverend John M. LeVoir will officiate. Visitation will be 5-7pm, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at church with a prayer service beginning at 7pm. Burial will follow at a later date. Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements. Edward Joseph Ardolf was born July 20, 1937 in Silver Lake, Minnesota to Albert P. and Cecelia (Pavlish) Ardolf. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1955. He attended St. Paul Seminary and was ordained in 1964.   Father Ed served the following parishes: Holy Trinity, Winsted; Cathedral, New Ulm; Holy Rosary, North Mankato; St. Raphael, Springfield; Canby and St. Leo; St. Mary’s, Sleepy Eye; St. Paul’s, Nicollet, and St. Mary, New Ulm. He retired in 2014.   In his spare time, Father Ed enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing cards, watching sports on TV, and spending time with family.   Survivors include his sister, Sister Miriam Ardolf, OSB of St. Benedict Monastery in St. Joseph, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Jim Decker of Mankato; and nieces and nephew.   He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and their wives, Leo (Gladys) Ardolf and Eugene (Dorothy) Ardolf; and sister, Joanne Ardolf Decker.
